Conference Description:
At Loma Linda University Health, our calling to diversity, equity and inclusion means providing opportunity and access for ALL people. As an academic medical center, our calling requires attention to this topic from all levels - administration, providers, staff, and faculty. This in-person conference will serve as an interdisciplinary forum to introduce and explore best practices, policies, theories, and research associated with health equity, diversity, and inclusion. Additionally, the conference will explore barriers to the effective implementation of equity and inclusion practices as well as solutions to address these barriers.

Objectives:
Upon completion of this conference the participant will be able to:

  1. Discuss awareness of the prevalence of health care disparities 
  2. Determine education in regards to national efforts related to advancing health care equity 
  3. Identify work being done throughout our university, hospitals and clinic systems to advance health care equity, along with opportunities to learn from each other and identify potential collaborators 
  4. Discuss taking action to advance health care equity
