Greetings from the School of Nursing, As we enter our 117th year of excellence in nursing at Loma Linda University, we are blessed to celebrate an alumni family that has grown to over 11,000 graduates! This number represents the many generations of our past undergraduate and graduate students and the countless memories of classes, patients and relationships that are now part of the LLUSN story. It represents a chapter in the lives of our alumni that, through trial and triumph, brought their choice to be a nurse from application to graduation to their first job and their subsequent work, giving compassionate and excellent nursing care wherever their careers took them. Over the past 2 years, the pandemic has given new meaning and appreciation to the idea of reuniting as alumni at our School of Nursing. We are grateful for the opportunity to come together safely this year and celebrate each of you as Loma Linda Nurses once again.

LLUSN Alumni Symposium

Our annual alumni symposium offers our guests a glimpse into the state of the school, featuring presentations by our deans, faculty, as well as a live Q&A with a panel of current students from each of our programs. Tours of the school are offered at the conclusion of the symposium.

Alumni Dessert Receptions

After Sabbath lunch our alumni are invited back to the School of Nursing to enjoy a dessert spread, faculty meet and greet and reception rooms hosted by their honor year.

LLUSN Homecoming Brunch

Our alumni are invited to attend a special brunch ceremony at the Mission Inn celebrating our 10, 25, 40, 50 and 60 year honor classes. Other features include class gift presentations, Alumni of the Year awards and Alumni Association Scholarship awards.

INTERPROFESSIONAL EDUCATION (IPE) DAY

When everyone is an expert: Health, prevention and science in the digital age.

Please join us for our annual Interprofessional Education Day event on Thursday, March 3, 2022. This year’s theme is When everyone is an expert: Health, prevention and science in the digital age focusing on preventive health. Dr. Richard Hart, President of Loma Linda University, will provide the keynote address on preventive health amidst the information age followed by an interprofessional panel discussion on this topic. The latter part of the program will consist of a presentation on the clinical evaluation of medical literature regarding COVID-19 vaccines with a follow-up interprofessional panel discussion in this regard.
